Waterproof flooring is an advanced, engineered version of luxury vinyl flooring, so they’re both low maintenance. That doesn't translate to "no maintenance," though.

Here are some quick tips for keeping your floors in top shape.

Sweep daily

Sweeping your floors is one of the most important things you can do. Sand and dirt are sharp and can scuff and scratch the floors.
Don't let it embed between the planks or tile-sized pieces! When sweeping, get into corners and under cabinets–anywhere grime can hide.

Use the right tools

This means no harsh or abrasive tools. For example, if you vacuum, turn off beater bars and rotating and agitating brushes that make cleaning easier on your waterproof vinyl flooring.

Mops should be damp, not dripping. Excess water seeps and damages the glue around the pieces, even with a waterproof floor.
Microfiber heads or cloths are preferable, as they capture dirt well. While at it, place mats at entrances so dirt is caught before it even gets into the house.
